Large-Scale Racking Strip-Out at Magna Park, Lutterworth
We recently completed a major racking strip-out project at one of the UK’s largest logistics hubs – Magna Park, Lutterworth. The job involved the safe and systematic dismantling of a high-capacity warehouse fitted with Esnova pallet racking and Esnova pick racking, readying the facility for new tenant fit-out and repurposing.
This was a logistically complex project due to the size and height of the system, requiring detailed planning, skilled labour, and tight adherence to health and safety protocols.
Scope of the Strip-Out:
Esnova Pallet Racking:
- 2,063 Frames – 11,200mm x 1100mm
- 27,300 Beams – 3600mm x 110mm x 50mm
Esnova Pick Racking (Complete with Mesh & Dividers):
- 360 Frames – 13,000mm x 1200mm
- 15,640 Beams – 3600mm x 80mm x 50mm
Project Highlights:
- Total system decommissioned and cleared to spec
- All mesh, dividers, and accessories removed and sorted for recycling or re-use
- Over 45,000 beams and more than 2,400 frames safely dismantled, stacked, and removed from site
- Strict adherence to CDM and safety regulations across the full programme
- Completed on time and within budget, allowing for seamless handover
